Kitchen Tools, Part II

A while back, I wrote this post about kitchen tools that I can’t live without.  Well, there were a few items missing from that list.  Here are a few other kitchen tools that are indispensible in my kitchen.

My measuring cups.  Oh, how I love these measuring cups.  They’re All-Clad, stainless steel, and seriously sturdy.  What they aren’t is cheap, but I’m pretty sure that these will last me my entire life and I don’t have to worry about my son dropping them and breaking them (although they might put a serious dent in my bamboo floors.) I have both the regular ones and the “odd sizes” which include the 2/3, 3/4 and 1 1/2 cups.  If you’re interested, you can get them here.  Also, they seem to have gone up in price since I bought them.  Well, what hasn’t these days?

Next is my Microplane grater.  It’s perfect for zesting and making really fine grated parmesan.  I use it all the time and it’s dishwasher safe, so it’s a breeze to clean.

Also, the way it’s shaped means you can run the grater upside down over your citrus fruits and collect the zest in the grater before you add it to your ingredients.

And last– how could I have forgotten this in my last post?– my Kitchenaid mixer. I have the most basic one you can get, but it serves me quite nice.  And while I suppose I could live without it, I wouldn’t want to.  I’m pretty sure I’d bake a lot less if I didn’t have it.  Which may do my waistline a favor, but who’s counting calories around here?

If you’re looking to get more kitchen tools for your kitchen, consider some of these!

Just to be clear, this is not a paid indorsement of any kind.  I just like these products!
